Building a Two-Way Trade Loop

Metrovex Technologies was one of the Malaysian representatives at the signing. The company joined Guizhou enterprises in reaching strategic consensus under the framework of “Guizhou products going global, Malaysian goods entering Guizhou.” Together, they aim to build a sustainable two-way trade loop based on complementary industrial, market and channel strengths.

Both sides also confirmed the first batch of import and export products. Guizhou will export items such as Jincili pear-based goods, Fanji matcha, spicy potato chips, and specialty potatoes and chillies. In turn, the products will reach Southeast Asian consumers through Malaysia’s offline retail network, overseas warehousing and cross-border livestream ecosystem. Meanwhile, Malaysian brands will enter the Guizhou market. These include Nestlé Malaysia Milo, chocolates, HSS Holdings biscuits, baked goods and latex bedding.

Extending Into Tourism and Talent Development

This China-Malaysia ASEAN trade cooperation goes beyond goods trade. It also extends into cultural tourism and talent development. Both sides plan to combine Guizhou’s mountain tourism and ethnic heritage with Malaysia’s Southeast Asian tourism offerings. As a result, they will work toward joint promotion and new travel routes. A three-year target is now in place: 300 Guizhou-themed cultural-tourism chain stores across Malaysia. Each store will combine retail, cultural exhibits and cross-border consulting services.

Supporting the ASEAN Livestream Talent Programme

The partnership has also launched the ASEAN cross-border livestream anchor training programme. This initiative aims to train 1,000 local ASEAN livestream anchors within three years. In doing so, it will support long-term cross-border digital marketing and cultural communication.

Metrovex Technologies’ Role in the ASEAN Market

Malaysia serves as a strategic gateway to a market of over 600 million ASEAN consumers. Therefore, the cooperation introduces an integrated model. It combines overseas warehouses, physical retail, digital marketing and talent incubation. Metrovex Technologies Chairman Joyce Woo said the partnership reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to connecting Malaysian and Chinese enterprises. She added that Metrovex Technologies will maintain regular engagement with Guizhou partners. This will help expand cooperation across trade, tourism and talent exchange.
